There is greater emphasis on individuals taking personal responsibility to manage the risks posed to themselves and others. As more places open the risks will increase.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnybody with covid symptoms or has been advised to self isolate should not be risking others and should not come to the club. We are keen that all our members have a good time, can enjoy the rivers and are safe on and off the water.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cu\u003eThis is what we decided for the club (starting from 21th July 2021):\u003c/u\u003e\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBooking System – \u003c/strong\u003eIt is no longer required to book slots to go through the club.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMain Club House – \u003c/strong\u003eThere are no restrictions to people in the club house (as it has good ventilation), but we encourage minimum use and people to still go through that swiftly \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eChanging Rooms – \u003c/strong\u003eThe changing rooms are open\u003cstrong\u003e, but\u003c/strong\u003e we want to encourage min. use. Please continue to come paddle-ready for a session and where possible continue to get showered and changed at home. Obviously if somebody needs a shower to warm up the facilities are back open. The toilets will be open for use too.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eKitchen – The kitchen use is discouraged\u003c/strong\u003e, but it can be used if needed by a max. of 6 people. We advise the use of face masks and the opening of windows.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGym – \u003c/strong\u003eThe gym is allowed to be used and the booking system should be used to book gym slots. The coaches are responsible for ensuring that the gym usage for groups is controlled.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eFacemask– \u003c/strong\u003eThe usage is not mandatory (apart from the advice when using the kitchen). We recognise that many people may still want to use them, so please be respectful with this.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOther Comments\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEvents – \u003c/strong\u003eIt is encouraged to use that feature as it gives greater transparency for our club members to club activities\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eParent at the Bank – \u003c/strong\u003eParents are allowed back on the bank, but please try to minimise the traffic through the club house.\u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn order to support this we have added extra disinfectants sprays into the changing rooms, we have increased the cleaning frequency and we have checked the facilities to ensure they are safe to use. We have also performed a H\u0026S check of the facility.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe will review the situation after summer when weather is colder and changing room needs change and also when we have a clearer picture of the Covid situation at that time.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI like to take the opportunity to remind people of the Club Etiquette (we plan to display these in the future at the door).\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eFacility Security\u003c/strong\u003e – We must ensure that our club is properly secured. The last person must do a check (are doors secured, are windows closed, are lights off). If in doubt please just double check that all is secure.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBack Door\u003c/strong\u003e – The back should be closed whenever paddlers are not by the bank. The board is used to indicate who is out, when they are out and when they are expected back. If there is a name on the board, just close the door (people are expected to have a fob), but do not but and bar the door.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eKeep free access\u003c/strong\u003e (e.g. to boats) – There are often trip hazards in the club / outside. Please minimise these and ensure that access to racks is free of hazards. As with previous openings we need to ensure we comply with the Government guidance under the COVID -19 Regulations or we risk the club being closed down altogether.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe good news is that the rule of 6 does not apply to organised sessions under the leadership of a coach or coaches. BC terms of reference do still apply and these, together with the judgement of the coach will apply to all sessions. We have listened to the frustration of members who paddle independently and have shortened the access windows to 15 minutes. This means that more paddlers will be able to pass through the club and that we can free some slots for independent paddlers in the busy times on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBelow you can find the rules we need to work under. This is to ensure the safety of both the coaches and the paddlers. We know this may be an inconvenience but please respect it.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eMaximum 1 coach to 5 paddlers in a group and Maximum 2 groups at one time Maximum 4 overlapping.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eClub Buoyancy Aids and Helmets to be dunked in disinfectant after use.
